About Jessica

Jessica Dorfman

Welcome! I’m Jessica Dorfman, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as your educational consultant. My journey in education is driven by a passion for helping children reach their fullest potential.

I have advanced certifications from Fordham University in Early Childhood Special Education and Childhood General and Special Education. My career is dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs from birth through sixth grade.

My professional experience is rich and varied. At The Churchill School and Center, I co-taught a self-contained fifth-grade classroom, tailoring lessons to meet the wide-ranging abilities of my students. As a Head Teacher and Reading and Math Specialist at the Stephen Gaynor School, I planned and implemented flexible curriculums, developed behavior modification plans, and monitored student progress. My work extended beyond the classroom with over a decade of private tutoring for children aged 3-14.

In addition to traditional teaching roles, I integrate yoga and mindfulness into education. I’ve instructed students from ages 3 to 14 at Balance Yoga and Wellness, Breezemont Day Camp, and JCC Mid-Westchester. My approach emphasizes academic growth and social-emotional development, fostering a holistic learning environment.

Currently, I serve as an ABA Therapist, SEIT, Parent Trainer, and Child Advocate with Theracare and Los Ninos. I apply my skills in behavior analysis, data collection, and child advocacy to support families and children with high-intensity needs.

With a compassionate and flexible approach, I’m here to help you navigate the educational landscape. Together, we can ensure your child receives the support they need to thrive academically and personally. Let’s unlock your child’s potential and pave the way for their success.
